Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Benno Ressa is a classically trained baritone with experience performing in operas, musicals, concert works, and stage plays. He currently works as an Associate Artist with FitzandStartz Productions, where he will be performing the role of Jonathon (The Sisters Fitz&Startz: A Case for the Classics) and Emmett (Emmett & Ella: A Doggone Mystery) this season. 

Last season, Benno worked as an apprentice artist with Opera Ithaca, and performed the roles of Le Daincaire in Carmen, the Sacristan in Tosca (a joint effort with the Metropolis Opera Project of NYC), and Bully in Kristin Hevner and Royce Vavrek's opera electronica Bully Pulpit. Musical theater credits include Will Parker in Triphammer Arts production of Oklahoma!, Emmett in the FitzandStartz productions of both Emmett & Ella: The Puppy Plot and Emmett & Ella: Big Apple Escapade at the Kitchen Theatre Company, as well as Pete in Rachel Lampert's Precious Nonsense at the Auburn Public Theater, which was voted one of the favorite CNY productions of 2017.
